Freedom Simplifies
God is not complicated. God is not logical. God is God.
“God replied to Moses, “I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you” Exodus 3:14 niv
In Hebrew YHWH means I am. Simple, God tells Moses He is, He is YHWH thats it. It follows that if God is simple, uncomplicated, then so is the gift of freedom that salvation brings. Not truly understandable, but simple. We yield our lives back to Him he give us freedom.
Our issues come when we try and understand a spiritual perspective from a human perspective and context. Our humanity runs on sliding scales and shades. There are no shades of God or freedom, no sort of God or mostly free. You acknowledge God or you don’t. You are free or you are not. Gods perspective contains absolutes. We tend to shy away from absolutes primarily because they are fixed & we can’t change or manipulate them for our convenience. There’s our challenge. If we are free, then we are free to choose to live in that freedom. Learning to look at life and think from a spiritual perspective is not automatically comfortable, but it brings simplicity. Calm replacing chaos. Freedom briging simplicity.
We now live with an audience of one. That audience is God.
‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.’
Romans 12:2a niv
