Roadblocks to seeking God

We all have ‘life baggage’ and whatever that might be can weigh us down.

At times it can stop us from moving forward and prevent us from living our lives the way God created us to. This ‘life baggage’ can also cause chaos when seeking God. In following the thread of desire God puts in us to know Him, we can stumble into roadblocks that derails us, stop the journey altogether & deplete us of energy we need.

For example

Being stubborn and not wanting to surrender control. By following this desire we have to lay down our need for control. It is designed to lead us into more of God and His presence in our lives. These circumstances, atmosphere and experiences we can only have when we surrender.

Fear. Not knowing what will unfold in the journey ahead, and because of this not being able to protect yourself or stop certain events happening. So you freeze in place.

Denial Unbelief, not seeing God, yourself or your circumstances as they are.

Believing the lies of the enemy Not seeing our current circumstances by the light of His word. Being blinded to the truth can lead us down the wrong path.

The good news is it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Prayer is powerful and often the simple prayers are the most powerful

“God I don’t want to live with these roadblocks anymore  I ask that you remove them from my life so I can seek you and know you Amen” It can be just like that. Talk to God today and then prepare to be answered back.
