Understanding

opening the door to the understanding that freedom is truth understood

The Freedom we are talking about here is spiritual freedom. The ‘no condemnation freedom’ that comes through a relationship with Jesus where the law of the Spirit who gives life, has set you free from the law of sin and spiritual death. A freedom where we’re no longer compelled to be slaves to sinful behaviours, that compulsion is broken. It is a release from the need to earn freedom through our own strength, and a freedom from the fear of death. We are no longer under its power. In chapter 6 of the book of Romans, Paul has some powerful words about what freedom is not, and asks a simple why question. If you’ve been set free from such a strong power why on earth would you choose to go back under it?

Living in freedom is a choice.

Its understanding that -

Freedom releases us to worship God acknowledging that we serve Him and Him alone.

Freedom is the commitment to be led by the Spirit of God.

Freedom creates the need to put God first in everything.

Freedom is surrender. Surrendering to the will of God.

Freedom brings peace and satisfaction. Control enslaves and we are not built for it. It is never satisfied.

Freedom is a gift given freely by God. It releases us from the desire to need rights.

Freedom changes our perspective. It enables us to view life through Gods eyes.

Freedom releases us to share, to give and be generous.

Freedom enables us to be who God made us to be.

Freedom is realising truth.
