going forward facing backwards

Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT ..forget the former things….

It matters what you cling to. If you cling on to the familiar, the known, to what you think you need, or what helps you cope you can’t lift your arms to embrace what’s next. You’re like the lion cub facing backwards, fixed on the past and things you need to move away from. Forget all that!! It’s nothing compared to what God has for you, what he’s already put in motion.

If God is telling you that you’ve reached the limit of what you and your circumstances used to be - listen to him. There’s a new capacity, but it’s only for the new. The past, the used to be, has no access, it cannot fit into the you looking forward. The new will bring changes that are good, they will refresh the future and the hope in your life. Looking forward will refresh your stability and abundant living. It’s designed for what you’ve been asking for, for what God has put into your heart before the beginning of time. Only you can decide which way you are looking, and what you are going to cling to. So consider this, Isaiah 48:6-7 NLT “…now I will tell you new things. Things that are brand new, not things from the past” Choose the Cheetah cub!
