The Point of Grace
The whole point of Grace is that it doesn’t start with us. It starts with God. God takes the initiative, not us. It is freely given. We can do nothing to deserve it or earn it. Grace is dynamic because it transforms and re-energises us, it redeems and sets us apart. It’s irresistible, it’s effective, always sufficient and its purpose can’t fail. Grace brings with it fruit that can, if we let it, enrich our lives so we can become living image bearers of God in this world.
Exactly how Grace works is a deep mystery that goes far beyond our limited human capacity to understand. Grace is Gods gift to humanity.
Galatians 1:15 NLT says “But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace.”
Ephesians 2:8 Amplified Bible says of this gift of Grace “For it is by grace, God’s remarkable compassion and favour drawing you to Christ, that you have been saved, actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life, through faith. And this, salvation, is not of yourselves, not through your own effort, but it is the, undeserved, gracious, gift of God;”
Grace is the place we live in by faith - for eternity.
