What happens next

We begin to occupy a space where we are divinely influenced to become more like him.

When we start seeking God seriously, with our whole heart, we put ourselves in a place where we begin to more clearly understand his nature. As we do this, we begin to take on his nature. What does this mean? When we choose to get as close to him as we can there is a natural influence of his nature on ours.

Colossians 3:10 nlt “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” (read through to verse16)

Romans 2:2 nltDon’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

This is where we acknowledge God isn’t human and doesn’t operate in a human way. He is God. He doesn’t lie he loves, he doesn’t condemn he encourages, he doesn’t manipulate he gives us free choice.

His influence, His presence, causes our souls to long for Him long before our minds understand what this influence is. That is Gods nature. His gift to us is the ability to see Him in life and the free will to choose Him above all else.

This is the life long journey of seeking Him and finding Him.
