What to do when you ‘FIND” ?

“ I will be found by you, “ says the lord “ Jeremiah 29:14 NLT

Back in the 17th century the overlap of the golden age of piracy and the establishment of colonial global trade routes created legendary hoards of ‘loot’ that were hidden and buried. The perceived value of these cashes compelled people to protect the treasure while others to steal it. All in the name of ownership.

What do you do when you find God? You value Him, treasure HIM

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure …” Matthew 13:44 NLT

However valuing God is not about ownership because none of us can ‘own’ God

“You are worthy, O Lord our God,
    to receive glory and honor and power.
For you created all things,
    and they exist because you created what you pleased.” Revelation 4:11 NLT

But rather valuing God as the treasure we have been seeking, we do this by ‘holding’ what we have found in our lives. We don’t bury God or hide him. We allow Him to be in us, and our lives.

His value is ours to hold not to own.
