A thought on Atmosphere
Have you ever walked into a room or situation and thought “I can cut this atmosphere with a knife? What has happened here?”
Atmosphere can be defined as ‘the character, feeling or mood of a place or situation’
And the definition of character is ‘the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.’
Think about that, the atmosphere in a room or situation can be so tangible that in and of itself it has a ‘character’. Any given atmosphere is powerful enough to be its own person, impacting everything and everyone in its vicinity. Walking into a room with that atmosphere you experience it.
Identifying, acknowledging and valuing atmospheres both your personal one, the ones you walk into or set yourself are important. Why? Because of the impact atmosphere has on you, your life and the lives of others. This week in dwell we will be walking through the importance of valuing, shifting and maintaining your atmosphere.
