Isaiahs Guide
Pursuing a relationship with God needs the overflow of that relationship to spill out to the world
When you look - see
Things aren’t always what you think they are. Learning to look with diffeent eyes.
Strength Exchange
Isaiah says that those of us who trust, hope, in God will exchange their weak strength for Gods strength. The exchange lets us find a new strength, one far stronger than our own. A strength that will enable us to walk and run with an energy that lasts. One that doesn’t quickly run out or leave us exhausted.
Joshua Steps
One of the most difficult things for us to do is surrender & yield. Why? The simple answer is that it means giving up control, letting go of our agendas and ways, our influence and wishes. Whatever the reasons, we assert our control in many small ways and that interferes with our relationship with God.
Joshua 24 NLT illustrate the steps to surrendering and yielding.
Leave the gingernuts alone
Don’t be too quick to act or interpret Gods word, his revelations, his plans and steps, let them sit with you a while so they can ‘set’ in your spirit then rise to your heart and mind. Leave the plans alone.
Faith in action
Faith is a verb, a doing word. What you believe, have faith for, speak out over your life, will always call for a step or action to take it by the hand and walk. To move forward in life in faith.
No silver, no gold
Isaiah 43:10 NLT “…you are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God”. Getting deeper with God.
Then there wasn’t
Look around at the world you live in. God created all of this so he could create you, his masterpiece, and give you a purpose with the same amount of care and creativity he gave his original a act of creation.
Going forward facing backwards
It matters what you cling to. Are you like the lion cub facing backwards, fixed on the past and things you need to move away from?
