Fresh Wind
What do we mean by Fresh Wind?
It’s the previously unknown, unexperienced, new pneuma, the wind of the Spirit of God. The purpose of the Spirit is to carry the presence and knowledge of God to people who have a relationship with him. The Spirit enables a life that was lived to be transformed to new way of living with the Spirit of God.
We are introduced to the Spirit at the beginning of the bible in Genesis 1:2, nlt, where “the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters”.
In Exodus God declares he has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, endowing him with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in craftsmanship to build the tabernacle and its furnishings, including designing works in gold, silver, bronze, and setting stones. Exodus 31:3 nlt
In Psalm 104:30 nlt, David says when God sends His Spirit living things are created, and he continuously renews the earth.
In Isaiah 61:1 nlt “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor”.
And Acts 2:1 nlt “on the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting”.
The presence of the Spirit in a person brings life and faith. It brings a new perspective that opens up how Gods creation works, how we live in it and how to enjoy it. That brings a growing understanding of the Word of God, the bible, its wisdom, and the relationship God has with us. It brings truth, teaching, gifting, empowering freedom, fruit and much more.
The wind of the Spirit gives us the freedom and empowers us to live with purpose and passion, see with transformed eyes and choose the path we were created to walk down.
