Shifting Atmosphere

Some people are naturally positive, they have a glass half full perspective and are able to rise above no matter what. For others it can be just plain hard to see the positive, and that significantly impacts the perspective they carry. If you are either person or somewhere in-between we all still need to be conscious of and value atmosphere if not for ourselves but for those around us in our day to day lives.

But where do you start? How does change begin? How can you shift your atmosphere?

The earth has an atmosphere that is vital because it provides essentials for life, protection from harm, regulates temperature and enables weather patterns.

The same could be said about our own personal atmosphere. It has the potential to provide essentials for life, protection, regulate and enable life’s ebbs and flow.

Each planet has an atmosphere that is held in place by its own gravity. The earth holds 6 layers of atmosphere and in each layer certain life or weather is possible. Perhaps the best place to start to shift atmosphere is to focus on personal gravity. What in me holds the atmospheric layers and their contents in place around me?

As human beings God has given us the power to choose. In the bible it says - choose life or death, blessing or curses (Deuteronomy 30:15-20 NIV)

Essentially our atmosphere can carry ‘life’ or it can carry ‘death’

Our personal gravity could be seen in the choices we make. From how we choose to think, the perspectives we have, the actions we take, what we choose to believe and how we live out those choices in our lives.

One of those important choices is about fearing God, choosing to put Him first. To follow His will and plan for your life. In seeking God for His plan for your life, you are aligning yourself with God’s ‘spin’ or gravity. This in turn draws in and sets the layers of atmosphere in and around your life.

And that gravity of ‘life’ produces a ‘life and life to the full’ atmosphere .

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

John 10:10  NIV
