Strength Exchange

Isaiah 40:31 NLT

Eagles are impressive birds, they can fly at altitudes over 3,000 meters, and can use strong thermals to go even higher. Their most impressive move, though, is flying above storm clouds to avoid bad weather - they can soar up to the sunshine.

In this verse, Isaiah says that those of us who trust, hope, in God will exchange their weak strength for Gods strength. The exchange lets us find a new strength, one far stronger than our own. A strength that will enable us to walk and run with an energy that lasts. One that doesn’t quickly run out or leave us exhausted. It lets us rise on Gods ‘thermals’ because it’s based on trust and hope. We can soar like the eagle and find that place above our storms, not drowning in them. Trusting God gives us the attitude and intimacy we need to see past the stress and issues. Understanding that when we let him hold us we can exchange our strength for his. We can ‘soar’, walk, through the day with him, rather than struggling on our own.

v28 & 29 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depth of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.”
