Worship - where God dwells
Psalm 22:3 nkjv ‘God inhabits the praise of his people”
Praise isn’t just an act of worship, it’s a throne for the presence of God, a place where he can dwell. When we praise, when we worship, we invite Gods presence into our space acknowledging his sovereignty & majesty. And, when we gather together to praise it also creates a dwelling place for him. However, worship isn’t just songs or gatherings, it’s a lifestyle that honours and reflects the holiness of God. Worship & praise bring with them an authority and a power that comes from dwelling in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
David understood the need for and the effect of praising God, Psalm 103:1 kjv “Praise the Lord, o my soul; let all that is within me, praise his holy name’.
As we learn to praise with our all, as we learn to dwell, abide in that space, we learn to experience Isaiah 55:9 nlt “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. We come to be so close to him, living so much of everyday life in his presence that his voice is activated in our souls, his thoughts, his ways become ours.
