Faith in action

All faith calls for an action, that could be a small step, a bold move or even the action of ‘being still’ or waiting.

Faith is a verb, a doing word. What you believe, have faith for, speak out over you life will always call for a step or action to take it by the hand and walk. To move forward in life in faith.

“I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.”  Joshua 1:3 NIV

Joshua who was tasked with leading the Israelites across the Jordon river into the promised land could have said ‘okay I believe you and I have faith’ and just stayed where he was, camped at the east side of the Jordan for the rest of his life.

But he didn’t. He heard Gods words and in faith, said  ‘okay God says this is for me to do and in order take hold of it I need to take action’. A literal step onto the land. And as the story shows in the bible Joshua had victory and Jericho fell.

If you have faith in life, real faith, there will always involve a call for action. What action today is your faith calling you to take.
